Emily has been handling adoptions exclusively since 2009 when she began working with Thomas Lowndes, who is now retired. She is also a Quad A attorney. Emily has authored materials for an adoption seminar presented by the South Carolina Bar.
Emily is a native of Charleston and graduated from the College of Charleston with degrees in History and Studio Art. She received her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and her LLM from the University of Miami Law School.
Emily became an attorney because her passion is helping people. In the community, she is an active member of First Baptist Church of Charleston and previously served on the board of the Charleston Miracle League. When she is not chasing her active little boy, Emily enjoys photography, cooking and spending time on the water when she can. She is married and is an adoptive mom herself.
Elizabeth joined the firm in February of 2025 following her desire to include adoptions as part of her practice. As an emergency and short-term foster parent, she has a heart for making sure that children have a loving and safe home.
Elizabeth is a native of California and graduated from The Citadel in 2015. She served as a Marine Corps Officer for several years before attending law school at Charleston School of Law. She is currently working to obtain her LLM in Taxation.
Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with family, reading, or enjoying God's outdoors.
Elizabeth also has her own firm, Carolina Law Lady LLC, where she continues to help people through estate planning, small business formation, and obtaining Veteran Benefits for those injured due to military service. www.CarolinaLawLadyLLC.com
